Poughkeepsie… Dutchess County Executive William R. Steinhaus will join other Hudson Valley leaders to discuss the many issues and challenges faced by the Executives of local counties on Thursday, June 7th at the Putnam, Dutchess, Rockland and Westchester County Executive’s Forum sponsored by the Palisades Institute at Dominican College in Orangeburg.
“There are many common challenges facing the Hudson Valley region. Collaboration and partnership are fundamental components to addressing these issues as we work to preserve and enhance the quality of life for the residents of our communities,” said County Executive Steinhaus.
Putnam County Executive Robert J. Bondi, Rockland County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef and Westchester County Executive Andrew J. Spano will also take part in the discussion forum. Discussion topics will include the strengthening regional economic competitiveness, curbing pollution, the changing face of demographics, alternative housing, traffic & transportation, open space preservation, taxes, Medicaid and more.
The discussion forum will be moderated by Jim Hennessy, Chair of the Board of Advisors of the Palisades Institute. It will be held in the Lawrence Room of Rosary Hall at Dominican College from 8:30am until 10:00am. For additional information, please call (845) 848-7806.
