Poughkeepsie… Dutchess County Executive William R. Steinhaus has announced the Dutchess County Parks Department will once again host the “Pow Wow On The Hudson - Native American Festival” from Saturday, May 23rd through Monday, May 25th at Bowdoin Park. This year’s theme is “The River that Flows Both Ways” and will feature Aztec Dancers, Birds of Prey Demonstrations and much more. The event is open FREE to the public.
“This is a fun and educational event that the whole family can enjoy,” said County Executive Steinhaus. “Enjoy dancing, music and more all within the spectacular setting of our beautiful Bowdoin Park.”
The Native American Festival will be held from 11am to 6pm on Saturday, May 23rd and Sunday, May 24th and from 11am to 4pm on Monday, May 25th. There will be a “Grand Entry” featuring ceremonial dances and songs at noon each day. Additionally, the festival will feature a wide variety of ongoing events including.

Drumming and Singing
Storytelling and History
Native American Craft Vendors and Native American Foods
