Archery Series to Be Held at Bowdoin Park this Winter
Poughkeepsie…The Dutchess County Parks Division will once again be offering weekend archery sessions at Bowdoin Park throughout the winter season. Sessions will be offered in two groups in order to accommodate additional participants. Group A sessions will begin on Saturday, January 14th and Group B sessions will begin on Saturday, January 7th. The sessions are designed for children ages 8 and up and adults with any level of archery experience. Space is limited, registration is required.
Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro said, “Here is a fun and educational way to stay active this winter! Bowdoin Park’s archery series continue to be a popular activity for novices and seasoned pros to practice their skills and learn more about the sport. If you haven’t had the chance to attend one of these sessions at one of Dutchess County’s beautiful parks, consider signing up today!”
Both group sessions consist of five classes, each an hour long. The first session will cover basic archery safety and skills for new participants. The majority of the sessions will be spent practicing with the bows, allowing participants to learn through experience. The cost for the program is $50 per person which includes all five classes. Equipment will be provided at no additional charge. Sessions will be held in the auditorium at Bowdoin Park.
