Public Flu Clinic Friday, November 2nd at Lakeside Park in Pawling


Poughkeepsie … Dutchess County will continue to hold Friday’s Adult Influenza (flu) and Pneumonia Vaccination Clinic:

     Friday, November 2nd, 2012 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm

“You can protect yourself by getting vaccinated against the seasonal flu at one of our public Adult flu clinics, or at your doctor’s office, your neighborhood pharmacy or shopping center,” said Commissioner of Health Michael C. Caldwell, MD, MPH.  “In addition, this year we are offering flu and pneumonia vaccine on Mondays at our Adult Immunization and Screening Clinics in the Poughkeepsie office.”

Convenient online registration is available for all flu clinics.  Interested individuals may register and find more information about flu immunization online at www.dutchessny.gov  and clicking the “What to Do About Flu” button, or you may visit http://bit.ly/DCFluShots.  For those without Internet access, may call the Department of Health's Flu Information line at (845) 486-3435 or call to register at (845) 486-3419.

The Flu shot will be $32, FluMist will be $40, and the fee for the pneumonia vaccine is $75.   Influenza and Pneumococcal vaccines are covered by Medicare Part B; individuals must bring card to the clinic.  Adults enrolled in Medicare HMOs may be required to pay the fee.
