Dutchess County Prescription Medication Drop Box Program
Permanent drop boxes are available 24/7 throughout Dutchess County at these locations.
Accepted items include unused prescription medications, medicated ointments, over-the-counter medicines and inhalers. No hazardous materials or needles can be accepted.

MidHudson Regional Hospital of Westchester Medical Center, 241 North Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. In Spellman Loading Dock area, there is a kiosk available for sharps disposal.
HVCS (Hudson Valley Community Services, Inc) offers a Harm Reduction and Syringe Exchange Program sites - in Poughkeepsie at the intersection of North Clinton, Mill and Smith Streets (municipal parking lot) on Mondays from 10am-noon, and 1-3pm; and on Thursdays from 10am-noon, and 2-4pm.
