Teenagers Arrested For Beekman Robbery

At approximately 10:30pm on Tuesday November 25, 2014, members of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Shell Gas Station on Rte 55 near Rte 216 in the Town of Beekman for a reported Armed Robbery. It was reported that two subjects wearing helmets with bandanas over their faces who were armed with a handgun, robbed the station and then fled on an ATV.

Investigation revealed that the two subjects were teenagers and had attempted to rob the clerk by demanding money and cigarettes while brandishing a pistol, which turned out to be a replica. However, the clerk refused their demands after which the suspects fled on the ATV eastbound on Rte 55 toward Pawling.

A joint investigation by patrol and the detective division resulted in the location of both subjects in Pawling and their subsequent arrests. Additionally, the ATV and replica pistol were later located and recovered in Patterson, Putnam County.

Anthony Lynn (16 yoa) of Holmes, NY was charged with Attempted Robbery 2nd a felony and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th a misdemeanor. He was arraigned in Beekman Town Court and released to D.C. Probation for electronic monitoring and is scheduled to appear back in Beekman Court on December 11, 2104 at 6:00pm.

The 15 yoa male, who is from Pawling, was also charged with Robbery 2nd and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th and is to appear in D.C. Family Court at a later date.
