Federal Certification

Transportation Council
Eoin Wrafter, Commissioner

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) are required to evaluate and certify the Dutchess County Transportation Council’s (DCTC’s) metropolitan transportation planning process. This in-person certification review, done every four years, is required for urbanized areas where the population exceeds 200,000 people. The review ensures that we are meeting our statutory and regulatory requirements with regard to the federally prescribed metropolitan planning process.

Please see our current Federal Certification Report (.pdf) for more information.
