As vaccinations continue, all residents are reminded to continue with coronavirus safety measures – wearing a face mask, frequent hand washing and physical distancing – to stop the spread of COVID-19.
To be added to the list of eligible candidates and be notified when an appointment is avaialble for you at a Dutchess County POD location, you MUST complete the COVID-19 Vaccination Information Request Form. You only need to complete this form once. Learn more about the form.
Dutchess County Department of Behavioral & Community Health (DBCH) is currently using a randomized, computer-generated process to assign vaccination appointments to eligible residents at County-operated sites. To be notified about appointments at these sites, please complete the Dutchess County Vaccination Information Request Form (Learn more about the form). When an appointment is available to you, you will be contacted directly by phone or email by Dutchess County personnel.
Fixed Points of Dispensing (PODs)
DBCH is operating two Fixed Points of Dispensing (PODs) Vaccination Centers – at the former JCPenney store at the Poughkeepsie Galleria and at the former CVS, 3081 Route 22, Dover. These sites are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
Community Pop-ups
DBCH also hosts Pop-up Vaccination Sites in various locations across the County to better reach all residents. Pop-up sites are also BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. See the Current Status below for information on locations.

Partner Pop-ups
DBCH continues to partner with area primary care providers and other local organizations to vaccinate eligible individuals as well as homebound and medically frail seniors. These are also BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. See the current status below for location information.

Scheduling for second dose appointments will occur at the vaccination site as both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines require two doses for full effectiveness.
This week, Dutchess County Department of Behavioral & Community Health (DBCH) is slated to receive 3,500 doses of Moderna vaccine from New York State.
Fixed PODs
We will be vaccinating those ages 18 and older with Moderna vaccine at our JCPenney Point of Dispensing (POD) site by appointment only.
Community Pop-ups
Appointments are still available at the Community Pop-up vaccination site at Trinity-Pawling School in Pawling Wednesday, April 21st for the Moderna vaccine. Pop-up sites are also by appointment only.
Other pop-up sites are currently on hold as we await updated guidance about the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Partner Pop-ups
We also continue to partner with area primary care providers to vaccinate homebound and medically frail senior citizens as well as all other eligible individuals. Additionally, we are partnering with Dutchess Community College next week to help vaccinate students and staff. These events are also by appointment only.

All appointments should be considered tentative and are subject to cancellation if Dutchess County does not receive expected allocation.
The following is information about vaccination options throughout the county in accordance with New York State Department of Health guidance. The 'current status' for each type of site is updated weekly.
New York State vaccination sites are open to all eligible individuals.
The closest state sponsored sites to Dutchess County are the Ulster County Fairgrounds in New Paltz, SUNY Orange in Middletown, Westchester County Center in White Plains, and SUNY Albany.

Pharmacies can now vaccinate all eligible individuals. Residents can check with their local pharmacy or the pharmacy’s website for information.
PLEASE NOTE: The following list includes vaccine allocation sent to various locations by New York State. There are numerous other locations receiving vaccine doses from the Federal government (CVS, Stop & Shop, Tops Pharmacy, etc.). For a list of pharmacies receiving Federal vaccine allocation, visit the CDC's pharmacy program website.

Doctors’ offices have begun receiving limited vaccine from New York State. These offices will notify patients for appointments as supply is available.
Poughkeepsie Medical Group (PMG)
PMG is offering Moderna vaccine appointments, while supplies last, to eligible individuals from noon-1pm Monday-Friday at their offices located at 375 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie. Call 845-454-5000 for appointment availability and scheduling. There is no cost for the vaccine, but you are encouraged to bring photo ID to your appointment.
The Office of Veterans Affairs (VA) is offering vaccination appointments to VA health care personnel as well as all veterans eligible to receive care from the VA, regardless of age or other criteria.
Volunteers needed: The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) at Castle Point VA Hospital is looking for volunteer drivers to help bring Dutchess County veterans to and from doctor appointments at the Castle Point VA Hospital in the Town of Wappinger. Volunteers will pick up veterans from their homes, wait for the veteran to complete their doctor visit, and then return them to their home. Scheduling is flexible, but one or two days per week availability is preferred. Government vehicles are provided.
