Dutchess County Online provides web feeds (RSS format) for news releases issued by the Dutchess County Executive and other Dutchess County departments. These “feeds” allow our website visitors to view specific content automatically without having to navigate through the site in order to reach the web pages that contain new information.
In general terms, feeds contain frequently updated content published by a website. A website visitor subscribes to web feeds offered by a site using “feed reader” software (which is typically free) and sets the interval at which the feeds are checked for updated content. When content is updated, the viewer is automatically presented with the new information by the feed reader software.
