Managing E-mail Notification Preferences


Summary

You may choose to receive e-mail notifications regarding exams or recruitments that are announced for certain titles. When an exam or recruitment is announced, the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources may choose to notify users of the announcement based on users' e-mail notification preferences. In this case, if you selected to be notified about one of the given title, you will receive an e-mail notification at the e-mail address you specify informing you of the announcement.

The following steps will guide you through setting up your preferences regarding e-mail notifications. These instructions assume that you have successfully logged into the system using your Dutchess County account and are starting at the main menu.

Instructions

  1. Click the "Manage E-mail Notifications" link under on the main menu.

  2. Carefully read the information presented at the top of the screen.

  3. Enter your first and last name into the respective textboxes.

  4. Enter the e-mail address at which you wish to receive the notifications. Note: This e-mail address does not have to be the same e-mail address you use for your account username.

  5. Below, place a check mark next to each title for which you wish to receive notifications. If you wish to stop receiving notifications for a specific title, remove the existing check mark from that title.

    You are encouraged to view the job description for a title prior selecting the title with a check mark. This will help to ensure that you understand the duties associated with the title, and that you meet the minimum qualifications for that title. To view the job description, simply click on the title itself. The link will display an Adobe PDF document describing the details of the title.

  6. Once you have your preferences set accordingly, click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page.

  7. A confirmation page should be displayed stating that your preferences were successfully updated. You may change your e-mail notification preferences at any time by logging in using your Dutchess County account and selecting the "Manage E-mail Notifications" link on the main menu.
