Draft Environmental Assessment for Hudson Valley Regional Airport – Runway 6-24 Safety Area Improvements Project

Dutchess County announces the availability for review of a Draft Environmental Assessment (DEA) for the proposed Runway 6-24 Safety Area Improvements project at the Hudson Valley Regional Airport. The DEA has been prepared in accordance with the Federal National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969, as amended, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Order 1050.1F, FAA Order 5050.4B. The purpose of the proposed project is to bring Runway 6-24 runway safety areas into compliance with federal design standards and regulations. 

The DEA identifies, documents, and evaluates the environmental, social, and economic consequences of the Runway 6-24 Safety Area Improvements project in accordance with its authorized project purpose and need.
