DUTCHESS OPENS OFFICE TO ASSIST JOB SEEKERS
PUBLIC INVITED TO OPEN HOUSE JULY 8th
Dutchess County Executive
William R. Steinhaus and Commissioner of Personnel Douglas A. McHoul have
announced the establishment of a satellite location of the county’s Equal
Employment Opportunity (EEO) office. The office will be located in the county’s
Southern Dutchess Center at 223 Main Street in Beacon.
“Through the opening of this
office I want to be certain we provide outreach and assistance to those seeking
employment with Dutchess County government,” stated Steinhaus in making the
announcement. “Our EEO Officer Curtis Forbes will be available to assist
individuals with applications, identifying employment opportunities, and
preparing for civil service tests.”
The public is invited to attend
an Open House at the satellite location on Monday, July 8th
from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. “We hope that members of the community will stop by
the Open House and also utilize the service we are offering,” added McHoul.
Local high school educators and
education directed community based organizations are encouraged to contact the
EEO Officer for on-site classroom career option presentations.
The satellite office will be staffed by Mr. Forbes on the second and fourth Mondays of each month from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. For further information or to make an appointment, call 845-486-2172.
