County Executive to be in Albany for Terrorism Briefing

Dutchess County Executive William R. Steinhaus will be joined by Dutchess County Sheriff Adrian Anderson and DeWitt Sagendorph, Emergency Response Coordinator in Albany, Monday, October 15, at 11:00 a.m.  at the New York State Police Academy for a briefing by Federal and State authorities on issues related to public safety and security following the September 11 terrorist attacks.

The meeting with representatives of the United States Attorney General, FBI and others is being convened by Congressman John Sweeney.

Steinhaus indicated Dutchess County has maintained a well-coordinated series of activities and precautions between his office, law enforcement, public safety and health officials since September 11.

The Executive commented, “I am grateful to Congressman Sweeney for his effort to initiate this meeting so we can further enhance our communication and coordination.
