This page contains updates about vaccine appointment availability at Dutchess County Fixed PODs, Community Pop-Ups, and other vaccine providers in Dutchess County.

As vaccinations continue, residents are reminded to follow CDC Guidance regarding coronavirus safety measures – wearing a face mask, frequent hand washing and physical distancing – to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Dutchess County Department of Behavioral & Community Health Vaccination Centers

Dutchess County Department of Behavioral & Community Health (DBCH) offers multiple vaccination options through our Fixed POD sites,Community Pop-ups, and Partnerships.

Fixed Points of Dispensing (PODs)

DBCH operates two Fixed Points of Dispensing (PODs) Vaccination Centers – at the former JCPenney store at the Poughkeepsie Galleria and at the former CVS, 3081 Route 22, Dover.

Walk-ins will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis as supply allows. Preregister to ensure your spot and save time.

DBCH also hosts Community Pop-up vaccination sites in various locations across the County to better reach all residents.

Partner Pop-ups

DBCH continues to partner with area primary care providers and other local organizations to vaccinate eligible individuals as well as homebound and medically frail seniors. These events are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

  • Roy C. Ketcham High School Pop-up PFIZER Vaccination Clinic in partnership with Village Apothecary
    Wednesday, May 5th, 4-8pm

    Check for available Pfizer appointments
    Open to New York residents who are 16 or older (minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All patients are required to bring proof of age). PLEASE NOTE: second dose appointments will be automatically booked for Wednesday, May 26 at the same time as your first dose appointment; please plan accordingly.

Second Dose Appointments

Scheduling for second dose appointments will occur at the vaccination site as both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines require two doses for full effectiveness.

New York State Sponsored Sites

New York State vaccination sites are open to all eligible individuals and are now accepting walk-ins. 

The closest state sponsored sites to Dutchess County are the Ulster County Fairgrounds in New Paltz, SUNY Orange in Middletown, Westchester County Center in White Plains, and the Crossgates Mall (former Lord & Taylor lower level) in Albany.

    • PRO-TIP: Even if it says "No Appointments Available," click on your preferred site, there may be recently cancelled appointments available!


Pharmacies can vaccinate all eligible individuals. Residents can check with their local pharmacy or the pharmacy’s website for specific information. Pharmacies may receive vaccine allocation from either New York State or the Federal government. For a list of pharmacies receiving Federal vaccine allocation, visit the CDC's pharmacy program website.


Hospitals, Federally Qualified Health Centers, Urgent Care, or Amulatory Care Providers

Physicians Networks and Practice Groups

Many doctors’ offices have begun receiving vaccine from New York State or the Federal government. These offices will notify patients for appointments as supply is available. Contact your medical provider about vaccine availability.

  • Poughkeepsie Medical Group (PMG): PMG is offering Moderna vaccine appointments, while supplies last, to eligible individuals from noon-1pm Monday-Friday at their offices located at 375 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie. Call 845-454-5000 for appointment availability and scheduling. There is no cost for the vaccine, but you are encouraged to bring photo ID to your appointment.


Veterans Affairs Hospitals and Clinics

The VA Hudson Valley is now hosting walk-in vaccination clinics from 8:30am-3:30pm Monday through Friday at the Castle Point and Montrose campuses. Veterans of all ages and CHAMP VA Recipients, as well as their spouses and caregivers, can be vaccinated at these sites. Volunteers Needed

The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) at Castle Point VA Hospital is looking for volunteer drivers to help bring Dutchess County veterans to and from doctor appointments at the Castle Point VA Hospital in the Town of Wappinger. Volunteers will pick up veterans from their homes, wait for the veteran to complete their doctor visit, and then return them to their home. Scheduling is flexible, but one or two days per week availability is preferred. Government vehicles are provided. Volunteers must:

  • Be in good health and able to pass a simple physical
  • Have a valid and clean New York State driver’s license (no CDL required)
  • Have proof of valid and current Insurance
