Update from NYS DOT:

NYS DOT has cleared a portion of the Dutchess Mall parking lot to hold vehicles notably tractor trailers to get them off Interstate 84.

Interstate 84 is now open eastbound.

IBM East Fishkill parking lot off Lime Kiln Road is also being cleared to accommodate vehicles.
-
Work is in progress to clear westbound (NYS DOT, NYS State Police and DC Sheriff) anticipating another few hours.

Sheriff ATVs have been dispatched to get people stranded on Interstate 84, particularly those trapped in rest areas.
