Poughkeepsie… Although the sun has been shining in many areas of Dutchess County, numerous roadways throughout the county remain impacted by flooding from rainfall overnight and into this morning.   Motorists are urged to use caution on roadways and are reminded not to drive through flooded areas.

The following county roadways are currently closed due to flooding:

• Crum Elbow Road (CR 41) in the Town of the Hyde, just east of the intersection of Cardinal Road to the Barre Memorials location at 55 Crum Elbow Road.
• East Noxon Road (CR 21) in the Town of LaGrange, by Rita Lane.

There are also numerous town and state roadways that have been impacted by flooding.  Motorists should allow extra time for travel and heed all warning signs and barricades.
