Poughkeepsie, N.Y. – The Dutchess County Comptroller’s Office has released their audit report of the 2025 Maintenance in Lieu of Rent (MLR), as well as their report of the 2025 Indirect Cost Allocation Plan (ICAP). The MLR is produced annually by the Department of Public Works, providing occupancy related costs for the maintenance of County-owned buildings. The information provided in the MLR contributes to the Comptroller’s Office’s preparation of the ICAP, which is used by the Department of Community and Family Services (DCFS) to make a claim for federal reimbursement of indirect costs associated with federal grant programs the County participates in.
“In uncertain economic times, every dollar of revenue matters. Our work on Maintenance in Lieu of Rent and the Indirect Cost Allocation Plan ensures that the County is being reimbursed to the greatest extent possible,” said Comptroller Aymar-Blair.
The MLR report concluded that a total of $10.4 million dollars was identified as maintenance in lieu costs, and a total of $2 million was billed. The ICAP anticipates $1,759,954 in revenue in 2027 for DCFS based on 2025 percentages.
