As both the Chief Accounting Officer and the Chief Auditing Officer of the County, the Comptroller performs the following functions:
Audits all county departments and outside agencies funded by the County.
Reviews, audits, and certifies all claims made by vendors for payment from Dutchess County.
Serves as Chair of the Audit Committee, which reviews the annual audit of the financial statements and all regulations, policy and procedures affecting the accounting and financial procedures of Dutchess County by an independent auditor.
