The Urban Trail Project Survey
Dutchess County is planning a new trail network utilizing the former CSX rail line property within the City & Town of Poughkeepsie. The Urban Trail will offer safe and easy connections to Marist College, and other destinations along Route 9 such as, Quiet Cove Riverfront Park, the Walkway Over the Hudson, WRS Dutchess Rail Trail, and the City's northside neighborhoods. The vision of the Urban Trail is to maximize connections and access for those who walk, run, bicycle, whether for transportation, recreation, or other purposes. Your input is valued and will help the project team understand travel patterns, current barriers to walking and bicycling, potential usage of the future trail, and the types of amenities you think are important. Please take the Urban Trail Project Survey and thanks for your assistance. To learn more about this project visit: DutchessCountyUrbanTrail.com

The primary goal for Dutchess County Parks is to enhance the quality of life for all county residents by providing safe and supportive county services. The Parks Division accomplishes this by operating six active facilities: Bowdoin Park, Wilcox Memorial Park, Quiet Cove Riverfront Park, the Harlem Valley Rail Trail, William R. Steinhaus Dutchess Rail Trail, and Dutchess Stadium. A wide variety of activities and educational programs are conducted at these facilities including swimming, boating, picnicking, hiking, camping, miniature golf, 27 hole disc golf, pavilion rentals, playgrounds, splash pad, and athletic fields as well as community events.
