Join women supporting women on Thursday, July 30 in Poughkeepsie

Published: 7/8/2026

Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino invites women and all those who support women in our community to a special evening of empowerment, connection, and inspiration at her annual Women’s Networking Event on Thursday, July 30th from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Locust Grove in Poughkeepsie. This free event is a chance for Dutchess County’s women to come together in support of one another’s personal and professional growth.

Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino said, “There is nothing more powerful than women showing up for one another. When we gather, share our stories, and celebrate the lives we touch, we are reminded how our strength grows through community and connection. This event is a chance to connect, lift each other higher, and honor the incredible resilience and hope that women throughout Dutchess County demonstrate every single day.”

This year’s theme, “The Lives We Touch,” celebrates women in Dutchess County who have overcome challenges, found their life’s purpose, and help to build up their community with dedication and hope for a better future for all.

Attendees will hear from three inspiring women whose journeys reflect this year’s theme:

  • Renee Fillette-Miccio, PhD, Executive Director of Dutchess Outreach, Inc. and a staunch champion for food justice within our community;
  • Micah Smith, President and Founder of Micah Abigail LLC, a credit and financial freedom educator and supporter of new beginnings in every stage of life; and
  • Fallon Meneses, an Emergency Room Technician at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, a mother and passionate mental health and rare disease awareness advocate.

Several Dutchess County Government departments will also be on hand at the event sharing information about programs and services. Light refreshments will be served.

The Women’s Networking Event is free, but space is limited. Registration is available online at dutchessny.gov/womensevent or by calling 845-486-2000.
