Poughkeepsie … Dutchess County Executive Marcus J. Molinaro has submitted the Annual Report for 2017 to the Dutchess County Legislature pursuant to the requirements of the Dutchess County Charter. The annual report provides an overview of the finances of the County and highlights the work and activities of the Executive Branch of county government over the past year.

County Executive Molinaro said, “The dedicated men and women of our County Government’s workforce are steadfast in their commitment to our residents and their responsibilities. This Annual Report provides the Legislature a comprehensive account of the services and programs provided throughout the year.  We have made our county government efficient and effective in our shared service to the people and communities of Dutchess County.  I encourage residents review the report to better understand the work our various departments do each day to the benefit of our community.”

The annual report features a review of Dutchess County’s financial condition, including continued work  to find efficiencies and savings, share services with local municipalities, and evaluate programs and services to reduce costs where possible. Collectively, this work has resulted in the stabilization and strengthening of the county’s finances, as well as the fourth consecutive year of a county tax levy reduction for residents and the third straight property tax rate reduction in 2018.

The report also features a summary of the activities of the Executive Branch departments of Dutchess County Government, demonstrating the continued hard work and dedication of Dutchess County Government employees.

The full Annual Report for 2017 can be viewed on the Dutchess County Government website.

County Executive Molinaro will present his 2018 State of the County address on Thursday, February 28th at 5 p.m. at the Culinary Institute of America’s Marriott Pavilion, Ecolab Auditorium.
