Poughkeepsie…The Dutchess County Department of Public Works (DPW) has announced Bridge RH-25 on Broadway (CR 78) Bridge on Broadway over Stony Creekover the Stony Creek in the Village of Tivoli has reopened to traffic. There will be ongoing project work requiring the use of a single-lane alternating traffic pattern, controlled by flaggers, over the next several weeks.

The additional project work will include construction of a 5-foot sidewalk on the north side of the bridge, installation of new guide rail and stone parapets with lighting, as well as final paving, striping, landscaping and utility relocations.

“We extend our thanks to the residents of Tivoli and Red Hook as well as our local business owners for their patience as our Department of Public Works team worked diligently over the last several months to reopen this bridge. In the coming weeks, crews will be working to complete the final components of the project. Several other bridge and culvert projects throughout Dutchess County will be wrapping up this month, improving travel for residents and visitors as we move into the winter season,” said Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro.

Bridge RH-25 project work began in the spring and involved the replacement of the original bridge and abutments, as well as the creation of widened travel lanes and shoulders.  Bridge RH-25 averages approximately 2,200 vehicles per day.
