Poughkeepsie…The Dutchess County Parks Division will once again be offering weekend archery sessions at Bowdoin Park throughout the fall season. Beginning this Saturday and continuing into December, children ages 8 and up and adults will have the opportunity to review and practice their archery skills. The sessions are designed for children and adults with any level of archery experience. Space is limited, registration is required.
County Executive Molinaro said, “We’re excited to bring back the popular weekend archery sessions to Bowdoin Park for the fall. The classes offer children and adults the chance to learn more about the sport and sharpen their skills, all while enjoying one of our own great county parks.”
The program consists of five classes, each an hour long. The first session will cover basic archery safety and skills for new participants. The majority of the sessions will be spent practicing with the bows, allowing participants to learn through experience. The cost for the program is $40 per person which includes all five classes. Equipment will be provided at no additional charge. Sessions will be held in the auditorium at Bowdoin Park.
