Poughkeepsie…Dutchess County Executive Marcus J. Molinaro has submitted the Annual Report for 2013 to the Dutchess County Legislature pursuant to the requirements of the Dutchess County Charter.
County Executive Molinaro stated, “As we continue our multi-year transformation of county government, we are focused on our ongoing efforts to reduce the overall cost of government while delivering quality core services to our residents. It is important, however, to pause sometimes to reflect back on the work that has been done and the outcomes that have been achieved. County employees have been asked to continue to do more with less and they have done so. I encourage residents to read through the highlights of the past year and learn more about the work of these departments and how they are striving to improve the quality of life for all residents of Dutchess County.”
It outlines the continued focus on controlling costs while providing quality services with shrinking resources. The annual report provides an overview of how county finances continue to be challenged by stagnant economic conditions and increasing service demands. County Executive Molinaro will present his 2014 priorities and initiatives in the State of the County address on Tuesday, March 4th at 5:30pm at Dutchess Community College in the James and Betty Hall Theatre in Dutchess Hall.
