Poughkeepsie…Dutchess County’s Bowdoin Park will host a Pancake Breakfast and Spring Open House event on Sunday, May 4th, 2014. The pancake breakfast will be from 11am to 1pm followed by Open House activities from 1pm to 4pm.
The pancake breakfast celebrates the end of maple syrup season and is a great chance to enjoy a delicious meal featuring Bowdoin Park’s own maple syrup. Breakfast will be held in Pavilion 5 and is $5 per person, with children 6 and under free of charge. The maple syrup shed will also be open throughout the event with demonstrations of how the maple syrup is made. Maple syrup will be available for sale while supplies last.
The Spring Open House will take place at Bowdoin Park’s Education Center and will feature activities for all ages, designed to people to enjoy the outdoors and have fun. Activities will include guided nature walks, nature awareness games, a hike to a prehistoric Native American rock shelter, and a talk about what to do if you get lost while hiking. Join the Bowdoin Park staff to get to know about all Bowdoin Park has to offer. Open House activities are free of charge.
