Poughkeepsie…The Dutchess County Department of Public Works (DPW) is advising motorists Hollow Road (CR 14) in the Town of Clinton is closed between Route 9G and N. Quaker Lane (CR 16). Only local traffic is permitted in this section of the roadway.  The closure is a result of a collapsed culvert, which allows a tributary of Crum Elbow Creek to pass under the roadway.  Motorists should plan travel accordingly to avoid this area.

Hollow Road is expected to be closed for several weeks, pending repair plan approval from NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC).

Hollow Road averages approximately 3,300 cars per day.
