Poughkeepsie…Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro is pleased to invite children with special needs, their families and agencies to a special picnic on Thursday, August 21st at Freedom Park, 212 Skidmore Rd., in LaGrange from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM. The picnic is free of charge, but reservations are required.

“One of the most important goals of our summer picnic program is socialization,” said County Executive Molinaro. “Just like our senior picnics, this special needs picnic brings together families of special need children for a fun day and an opportunity to meet new people who understand the joys and challenges of raising special needs children.”

The picnic is presented by the Dutchess County Department of Community & Family Services and the Office for the Aging/NY Connects. The menu for the day includes kid favorites: hot dogs, hamburgers, macaroni & cheese and more! There will be plenty of fun activities as well as live music and dancing.

Proudly providing financial support for this program are: Rose & Kiernan, Inc., The Chazen Companies, Morris Associates Engineering Consultants, PLLC., Herb Redl Properties, Achieve Beyond and Joanne & Charlie North.

To make reservations for the picnic, please call 486-2552 as soon as possible as space is limited.
