Poughkeepsie… The Dutchess County Department of Public Works has announced it will be replacing the culvert that carries County Route 105 (Sinpatch Road) over the Swift Pond stream in the Town of Amenia. The project is expected to begin on or about July 8, 2013, weather permitting, and is expected to take approximately two weeks. Sinpatch Road will be closed in the vicinity of the culvert while work is underway.
The existing twin corrugated metal pipe culvert has been identified as structurally deficient. It will be replaced by a precast concrete box culvert designed to reduce flooding issues.
