Poughkeepsie, NY… Dutchess County Executive Marcus J. Molinaro encourages representatives from Dutchess County businesses, educational institutions, not-for-profits and local governments to participate in an upcoming workshop to learn more about applying for state funding through the Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) process. The CFA workshop, being held in partnership with the Empire State Development Corporation, Dutchess County Economic Development Corporation and the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce, will be held on Wednesday, April 25th from 8:30am to 10:30am at the Marist College Boathouse in Poughkeepsie.
County Executive Molinaro said, “We have established the 4R FUTURE Working Group to assist in identifying transformative projects throughout the county and help applicants navigate the submission process so we can help ensure Dutchess County’s best projects rise to the top and are eligible for state grant monies.”
The Consolidated Funding Application is a single application for accessing millions of dollars through multiple funding sources from New York State. Funding includes a wide range of grant and loan programs, from municipal infrastructure improvements, emergency management systems and flood relief to economic development plans, historic preservation and local government reorganization projects.
The 4R FUTURE Working Group, led by Dutchess County Deputy Commissioner of Strategic Planning & Economic Development Ron Hicks, is designed to help potential applicants fully understand all of the available funding opportunities and successfully complete the CFA application process. “Our goal is to help applicants to be as well prepared as possible so we can bring the maximum amount of state funding to Dutchess County and help build up our local economy,” said Mr. Hicks.
