Molinaro joined with officials from the City of Beacon and the business community for the ceremonial grand opening event for ReCommunity Beacon, the state-of-the-art automated recycling facility located 508 Fishkill Avenue in Beacon.  ReCommunity invested $7.5 million to build and install state-of-the art sorting equipment in the 52,000 square foot building to process recyclable plastics, old newspapers, junk mail, magazines, office papers, cardboard, tin, aluminum and glass food and beverage containers.

County Executive Molinaro said, “Having ReCommunity located in our Dutchess County community is a win-win.    This state of the art facility brings new jobs to the community and will be an important component in our efforts to increase the recycling rates in Dutchess County.   ReCommunity’s simplified, single stream recycling expands the list of acceptable materials and makes recycling easy for residents.”
