Poughkeepsie… Dutchess County Executive Marcus J. Molinaro has announced the Dutchess County Department of Public Works Highway Division will begin paving work on County Route (CR) 28 - Old Hopewell Road in the Towns of Wappinger and East Fishkill next week starting Tuesday, June 26th, weather permitting. DPW employees will be repaving a 1.2 mile road section from CR 94 - All Angels Hill Road in Wappinger to NYS Route 82 in East Fishkill. This paving project is expected to be completed in approximately two weeks.
Motorists are advised there will be alternating one-lane traffic through the construction area from 7am to 5pm, so delays may be experienced.
The repaving project is part of Dutchess County’s annual highway maintenance program. This year, the Department of Public Works Highway Division will work to improve nearly 20 miles of county-owned roadway.
