Public Hearing Set for Criminal Justice Needs Assessment Report

Poughkeepsie...The Dutchess County Criminal Justice Council (CJC) has announced a public hearing will be held on Monday, October 15th from 6pm to 8pm at Dutchess Community College in the James and Betty Hall Theatre in Dutchess Hall.    This event will be an opportunity for the public to offer comments on the final draft report of the Criminal Justice Needs Assessment, a review of Dutchess County’s current inmate housing situation within in the context of the County’s entire criminal justice system.   The public hearing will be facilitated by the Mediation Center, Inc.

The meeting will begin with an overview presentation of the Criminal Justice Needs Assessment.   Following the presentation, individuals will have the opportunity to offer comments, up to three minutes in length, to be included in the final report document that will be sent to County Executive Molinaro, Dutchess County Legislature Chairman Robert J. Rolison and Dutchess County Sheriff Adrian Anderson.
