Dutchess Rail Trail Parking Lot at Diddell Road Under Construction
Trail Users Advised to Use Alternate Lots

Poughkeepsie… The Dutchess County Department of Public Works has announced the Dutchess Rail Trail parking lot located at Diddell Road in the Town of Wappinger will be closed beginning on Monday, October 22nd for the construction of a paved parking area for trail users with 33 parking spaces, including 2 handicapped accessible spaces. The work is expected to take approximately four weeks, with completion scheduled for late November.

During the construction period, trail users are encouraged to use alternate parking lots along the Dutchess Rail Trail.    Alternate lot locations include:  

• Van Wyck Lane Parking Lot in East Fishkill located between Lake Walton Road and Route 376 in East Fishkill.
• Hopewell Depot Trailhead Parking located at Railroad Avenue (just off of Route 376 at the Hopewell Inn) in East Fishkill.
• Gold's Gym located at 258 Titusville Road in LaGrange.  Parking is available in the rear lot at Gold’s Gym, where permanent trail parking and direct access has been generously provided by Gold’s.
