Sue Serino, Dutchess County to Host Annual 'ThinkDIFFERENTLY' & Field Day
Inclusive community event scheduled for June 25 at Bowdoin Park

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY ... Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino is proud to announce the County' s popular ThinkDIFFERENTLY Fitness & Field Day takes place on Thursday, June 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bowdoin Park, 85 Sheafe Road in Poughkeepsie. Hosted through the County’s ThinkDIFFERENTLY initiative, this sixth annual event brings together residents of all abilities, their families and caregivers for a day focused on recreation, wellness and community engagement in a welcoming environment where participants can explore adaptive activities, connect with local resources and enjoy time outdoors.  This free event will be held rain or shine on the park's lower soccer fields and accessible playground near Pavilion 1. Registration is required and can be completed online at: dutchessny.gov/tdfieldday. A complimentary lunch and participation medal will be provided for attendees who register by June 15.

Hosted through the County’s ThinkDIFFERENTLY initiative, this free event brings together residents of all abilities, their families and caregivers for a day focused on recreation, wellness and community engagement. Attendees can enjoy a variety of interactive experiences, including fitness activities, games, creative arts, music and sensory-friendly attractions. Various County departments and community organizations will be available to share information about programs and services that support individuals with physical, intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Several new community partners — Crazy Over Art on Tour, Wayfinder Adventures, Arc Community League and Autism Society of Greater Hudson Region — will join this year’s event, expanding opportunities for participants to discover new activities and experiences designed to encourage participation, confidence and fun.
