Poughkeepsie…The Dutchess County Department of Public Works (DPW) has announced the replacement of Bridge S-24 on Hunns Lake Road (CR-65) in the Town of Stanford is complete and the structure was opened to traffic today. Construction crews will be completing cleanup in the area in the coming weeks.
Project work, which began in the summer, included replacing the structure, located over the Hunns Lake Creek approximately one mile north of the State Route 82 intersection, with a new, wider bridge that includes four-foot shoulders.
An average of 630 vehicles traverse this section of Hunns Lake Road daily.
