POUGHKEEPSIE, NY … Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino invites residents of all abilities, their families and support organizations to a complimentary, sensory-friendly screening of “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” on Saturday, April 4 at Roosevelt Cinemas, 4060 Albany Post Road in Hyde Park. Doors open at 9 a.m., and the movie begins at 10 a.m. Registration is required and can be completed online at: dutchessny.gov/mario2026.

We want everyone in our community to have the chance to share in the fun of going to the theater and watching a movie together.”
This special event, part of Dutchess County’s ThinkDIFFERENTLY initiative to foster inclusion and accessibility, is tailored for those with sensory sensitivities. The theater will have lights left up slightly and the volume reduced, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment for all attendees.
Refreshments will be available for purchase onsite; outside food and beverages are not permitted.
