Dutchess County received a major disaster declaration in late September, following Hurricane Ida’s estimated $2.5 million in damage to public assets and municipal facilities earlier that month. The County received the additional Individual Assistance declaration in October, which will help homeowners and businesses recover from more than an estimated $1 million worth of damage to private homes, apartments, and businesses so far.
