POUGHKEEPSIE … Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino announced the County is now accepting applications for its 2026 Veterans Microgrant Program, providing one-time funding to local governments and non-profit organizations to help launch or sustain projects that honor and support the County’s veterans. Applications can be submitted via the County’s online grant portal and will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all funds are awarded.
Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino said, “Our veterans have given so much to our country, and it’s important we continue to support them in meaningful ways. Dutchess County’s Veterans Microgrant Program helps local communities and organizations make real improvements that veterans can see and benefit from every day. It’s a simple way we can say ‘thank you’ and make sure our local heroes have access to the services and spaces they deserve.”
Eligible organizations and municipalities may apply for grants of up to $15,000 that can be used for equipment, facility improvements, new or expanded programs and initiatives that recognize and serve local veterans. The 2026 County Budget includes $100,000 in dedicated funding for the program, continuing Dutchess County’s commitment to investing in services improving the quality of life for veterans.
Priority will be given to applicants that do not currently hold service contracts with the County.
Any organization that received grant funding under the 2024 or 2025 Dutchess County Veterans Support Program are ineligible for funding under this program. Only one application per organization will be accepted, and funding should be utilized within one year of award.
