County Executive Sue Serino said, “Our Parks and our veterans are part of what makes Dutchess County such an amazing place to live. We are excited to celebrate the service of our veterans with an afternoon of great free entertainment at beautiful Bowdoin Park! So, grab your lawn chair and pack a picnic to join us for a wonderful day with friends, family, and fun.”

Veterans’ Affairs Director Adam Roche said, “I know from working with our local veterans, that these events mean a lot to them, and they feel the love. We are grateful to our community partners at MHA of Dutchess County for helping bring these two bands to Bowdoin Park to honor our local men and women. We can never thank our brave service members and veterans enough for all they have done for our nation.”

The concert will feature the funk and rhythmic grooves of the Funky Plantains, a musical group supported by MHADC’s Fox Program; classic rock, Motown, and R&B hits from the 1960s through the 1980s from G.I. Jam, a local band comprised of active or retired service members; and other local performances.
