Death Cab For Cutie is an American alternative rock band that rose from being a side project to becoming one of the most exciting groups emerging from the indie rock scene. Death Cab for Cutie has been nominated for eight Grammy Awards, including Best Rock Album in 2015. Their ninth studio album, Thank You for Today, was released in August 2018. Also featured will be New Jersey indie rock group, Real Estate.

Hangout on the Hudson is part of Radio Woodstock's 40th Anniversary celebration. The festival will be a full evening of music, food vendors, and activities starting around 5pm with a yet-to-be announced band, followed by Real Estate at 6:45pm, and Death Cab for Cutie at 8:30pm.

Gary Chetkof, Radio Woodstock’s principal owner and the President of Chet-5 Productions, Radio Woodstock’s live events company producing the festival, said, “Whenever Radio Woodstock reaches a significant milestone, we like to celebrate with a big outdoor party and invite the entire community, especially our listeners, sponsors, favorite bands, and local restaurants, craft breweries and distilleries. We always seek out beautiful and unique settings, and we are thrilled to make Bowdoin Park, the jewel of the Hudson Valley parks, our home for this Festival. We encourage people to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and Frisbees, and we will also have fun games and activities like volleyball and corn hole.”
