Published: 10/14/2026

Poughkeepsie – Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino and New York State Senator Michelle Hinchey are partnering with the Rhinebeck Central School District to connect students with hands-on career opportunities at this fall’s Skilled Trades Fair, taking place Tuesday, November 10, from 6–8 PM in the Bulkeley Middle School gymnasium, 45 North Park Road in Rhinebeck. This free community event invites residents of all ages to explore a wide range of skilled trades career paths available throughout the Hudson Valley. Attendees will have the chance to meet with representatives from local trade organizations and businesses, ask questions, and discover pathways to future training and employment. No registration is required to attend. The event is also open to adults looking to pursue new career opportunities.

“I know from experience that charting a future career is never a one‑size‑fits‑all process. I started my Skilled Trades Fairs in the Wappingers Central School District during my time with the State Senate and I am so proud to partner with Rhinebeck Superintendent Albert Cousins and Senator Michelle Hinchey to bring this popular event to Rhinebeck,” said Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino. “Providing opportunities to explore a wide range of career pathways remains one of our highest priorities in Dutchess County and I encourage residents of all ages to join us to learn more about the many, varied pathways available in skilled trades industries.”

Senator Michelle Hinchey said, “I’m so proud to once again be co-hosting the Skilled Trades Fair this year at Bulkeley Middle School in Rhinebeck. As we’ve seen in past years, this fair is an exceptional opportunity for Dutchess County students and other job seekers to learn more about the skilled trades and explore the many career possibilities they offer. There’s a multitude of rewarding pathways to be found right here in the Hudson Valley, and there’s no better way to see if a profession is right for you than to speak directly with someone who’s already part of it. We hope to see many students, families, and community members on November 10 in Rhinebeck. It’s going to be a great night!”

Rhinebeck Central School District Superintendent Albert Cousins said, “We’re proud to co-sponsor this initiative, which will bring value to the Rhinebeck community and northern Dutchess County. We’re committed to giving students this opportunity to explore apprenticeship programs, educational pathways, and promising career options, while also helping local businesses connect with the next generation of skilled workers. We encourage everyone to come out and learn more about the opportunities in the skilled trades."

Local trade organizations and businesses interested in having a free vendor table at the event, can register online at dutchessny.gov/RhinebeckTradesFair. Hundreds of students and their families attend these events looking for more information about possible careers in the skilled trades.
