Poughkeepsie…The Dutchess County Department of Public Works (DPW) has announced the reconstruction project along Myers Corners Road (CR-93), between All Angels Hill Road (CR-94) and State Route 376 in the Town of Wappinger, has been completed.

County Executive Marc Molinaro said, “This project has vastly improved the reliability, safety, and functionality of this important roadway. We are grateful to residents and business owners, as well as our municipal partners, for their cooperation and patience during this complex project. We will continue maintaining and improving our County highway infrastructure to ensure we support the needs of our communities.”

The project, which began in March 2019, involved extensive reconstruction with new pavement, drainage, signage, and expanded shoulders to improve safety for motorists and pedestrians on one of the County’s most utilized roadways, as this section of Myers Corners Road averages approximately 8,500 vehicles every day.

The project was completed on time and within the project bid.  The total cost for the project was approximately $7.57 million, of which 80% is Federally funded. The local share is funded in part by a $1.13 million State grant with the County funding the remaining $380,000.
