POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4th - May 8th ) Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino is excited to recognize the local teachers who go above and beyond, both in and out of the classroom as ‘Classroom Champions.’ Students attending public and private schools in Dutchess County are encouraged to nominate educators who have made a meaningful difference in their lives and who help create positive and encouraging learning environments.
“Behind every confident student and curious mind, there is an educator who helped make that possible. Our teachers are the quiet leaders in our community who work tirelessly for their students, often going the extra mile to ensure each child reaches their full potential,” said Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino. “Whether they are finding creative ways to make learning engaging, supporting clubs, or building connections that extend far beyond the classroom. I am so excited to recognize our Classroom Champions this year and look forward to reading about the many ways they are influencing our students and future leaders.”
Nominations are due Monday, May 18th and are available online at dutchessny.gov/Teacher. For more information, please call 845-486-2000 or email CountyExec@dutchessny.gov.
