Poughkeepsie... On Wednesday, February 11th, Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino’s Skilled Trades Fair, in partnership with the Arlington Central School District, will return to Arlington High School, 1157 Route 55 in Lagrangeville, from 6 to 8 p.m. This FREE event is open to all Dutchess County residents and no RSVP is required to attend.
“I know firsthand, there’s no such thing as one-size-fits-all when it comes to your career path,” said Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino. “Our partners across various skilled trades industries are ready and willing to help students – and adults – from across Dutchess County plan for their future professional achievements. We continue to host these Skilled Trades Fairs every year to showcase the wide range of opportunities available in our community. We are grateful to the busy professionals who so readily participate, and to Arlington Central School District for welcoming us back to the High School again this year.”
Dr. Philip Benante, Arlington Superintendent of Schools, said, “Building on the incredible success of last year’s event—which brought together over 70 vendors and 800 attendees—Arlington is thrilled to partner with County Executive Sue Serino for the second year to host the Skilled Trades Fair. This event remains a vital bridge between our students and the rewarding career paths within the trades. We are proud to continue this tradition of shaping our future workforce and look forward to welcoming the Dutchess County community back to Arlington High School on February 11."
The County Executive’s Skilled Trades Fairs connect hundreds of students and their families with diverse career opportunities in the Hudson Valley in fields such as construction, electrical work, plumbing, masonry, and more.
Participating businesses will have a unique opportunity to engage with motivated students and adults, eager to explore careers in their trades. Local businesses and trade organizations interested in showcasing their opportunities at the fair are encouraged to register online at dutchessny.gov/AHSTradesFair or contact the Dutchess County Executive’s Office at 845-486-2000 or CountyExec@dutchessny.gov. There is no fee to participate, however space is limited, and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
