Spring Weekend Archery Classes Return to Bowdoin Park

Poughkeepsie… Registration is now open for Dutchess County Parks' upcoming weekend archery classes. The first session will be March 21st in Bowdoin Park’s Community Center Auditorium. The program consists of five classes, held on Saturdays, with various time slots to accommodate more students. The sessions, each an hour long, are designed for children ages 8 and up, and adults with any level of archery experience. Equipment is provided, but space is limited. Registration is required and is available online.

The first session will cover basic archery safety and skills for new participants. Most of the sessions will be spent practicing with the bows, allowing participants to learn through experience. The cost for the program is $60 per person and includes all five classes and equipment.

Archery Spring Session Dates:

  • Saturday, March 21st
  • Saturday, April 4th
  • Saturday, April 18th
  • Saturday, May 2nd
  • Saturday, May 16th

Time Slots for All Sessions:

  • 10-11 a.m.
  • 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
  • 2-3 p.m.
  • 3:30-4:30 p.m.
  • 5-6 p.m.
