Poughkeepsie… Dutchess County Executive Marcus J. Molinaro and Nelson Eddy Rivera, USN (Ret), Director of the Dutchess County’s Division of Veterans Services invite residents to participate in Dutchess County’s Veterans Day ceremony at the Dutchess County War Memorial on Saturday, November 11th at 11 a.m.
The Dutchess County War Memorial is located at the John K. Rinaldi Memorial Park at the intersection of Raymond Avenue and Main Street in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
Veterans Day is a national holiday intended to be a celebration to honor America's veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.
Local municipalities throughout the county will also be hosting Veterans Day ceremonies to honor and remember. County Executive Molinaro and Director Rivera encourage Dutchess County residents to celebrate local veterans by participating in one or more of the numerous Veterans Day events planned across the county.
