Registration Opens January 20th for Parks’ Adult Park Palette Painting Series

Poughkeepsie…  Dutchess County Parks continues its wide array of popular programming with another series of Park Palette painting workshops for adults. Due to the popularity of the program, this session will include a session for beginners, and two sessions for more advanced artists. Registration will open Tuesday, January 20 at 9am online at www.DutchessNY.gov/ParksEducation.

Beginner Adult Park Palette will be held on Thursday, February 19th from 6-7:30pm at the Maple Knoll Lodge at Bowdoin Park. The class will include step-by-step introduction to acrylic painting, focusing on the basics of creating nature-based artwork. The class costs $12 and includes all supplies. Sessions are limited to 12 participants.

Advanced Adult Park Palette will be held on Thursdays, February 5 and March 5, from 6-7:30pm at the Maple Knoll Lodge at Bowdoin Park.  The Advanced class is for adults who have taken a Dutchess County Parks painting class in the past and wish to expand on their skills with more advanced techniques and more challenging scenes. Each session is $12 and includes all supplies. Sessions are limited to 12 participants each.

Other naturalist programming, including group weekday Archery, Junior Survival, Scout Programs and School Field Trips are available by appointment and reservations can be made by calling the Parks office at (845) 298-4602.
