The Dutchess County Legislature’s Tick Task Force, together with the Department of Behavioral and Community Health, announced today that it will host an “Educational Event” during the Thursday, July 25th Renegades Game.  Members of the Committee will man a table in the concession area of the Baseball Stadium with educational pamphlets along with “Tick Removal Kits”.  Game time starts at 7:05 pm.

The Hudson Valley Renegades are part of what makes Dutchess County special, thrilling thousands of fans all summer and what better way to take advantage of this opportunity to educate parents and children alike on the threat of Lyme Disease.  If you plan on attending this game, please root for Dutchess County’s own Renegades victory along with finding a cure for Lyme and other tick-borne diseases!

Legislator Donna Bolner, Chair, Dutchess County Tick Task Force and Assistant Majority Leader and Tick Task Force members are committed to efforts in prevention and education regarding negative effects of the tick population.   The mission of the Tick Task Force is to develop long-term goals and make recommendations to the Legislature in the efforts of understanding and safely controlling ticks and reducing Lyme Disease and other tick-borne diseases.

Let’s strike out Lyme Disease once and for all!
