Citizens Advisory Committee on Domestic Violence

Citizen Representative, 1-Year Term

The Citizens Advisory Committee on Domestic Violence works to solicit and consider advice and recommendations from the community-at-large with respect to the problem of domestic violence. This committee consist of 12 members appointed by the Chair of the Legislature subject to confirmation by the Legislature meeting every fourth Tuesday of the month at 4:30 p.m.

 

Mental Hygiene Advisory Board

Member,  4-Year Term

The Dutchess County Mental Hygiene Board created under New York State Mental Hygiene Law is an advisory group that works in conjunction with the Commissioner of Mental Hygiene to develop annual, intermediate, and long-range plans for mental hygiene services in Dutchess County. Board members also represent and work to ensure mental hygiene needs are being met. The Mental Hygiene Board consists of 15 members appointed by the Legislature, meeting monthly; January & February, fourth Monday; rest of the year, third Monday; at 12 noon (no meeting in August).

 

Tick Task Force

Member, 2-Year Term

The mission of the Tick Task Force is to develop long-term goals and make recommendations to the Legislature in the efforts of understanding and safely controlling ticks and reducing Lyme Disease and other tick-borne diseases.  The Tick Task Force is comprised of 15 members appointed by the Chair of the Legislature:  12 Citizen members, 2 Legislators, and a member from the DC Behavioral and Community Health.  The Tick Task Force meets the third Tuesday of the month at 5 p.m.
