DUTCHESS COUNTY LEGISLATORS TO HOLD PUBLIC FORUMS
Rolison, Legislators seek to bring county government closer to the people it serves
Chairman Robert Rolison (R-Poughkeepsie) today announced a series of public forums that are part of the ongoing “Dutchess County Government Brought to You” initiative. These forums will be held in each corner of the county giving people the opportunity to learn more about county government as well as voice their questions and concerns directly to their county representatives.
“As Chairman of the Dutchess County Legislature, I feel it is my responsibility to use my position to foster as much citizen participation into the development of county policy as possible. These forums will provide an opportunity for residents who wish to learn more about county government or want to make their thoughts, concerns and ideas heard to do so. Your elected officials cannot make decisions in a vacuum, they need your help to do what is best for you, your family, and your neighbors during these difficult economic times,” said Rolison.
Five public forums have been scheduled at this time for the months of May and June.
